Wind turbines

As an innovation partner to renowned wind turbine manufacturers, COSWIG GUSS develops and manufactures advanced machine components such as hollow rotor shafts and bearing housings. By combining engineering expertise and casting experience, we ensure sustainable success for our customers.

For 15 years, COSWIG GUSS has been driving progress in the wind industry together with leading companies. We have always mastered the growing requirements and set new standards: COSWIG GUSS supplied the hollow rotor shafts for Senvion's wind turbines in the first German offshore wind farm "alpha ventus". The 5 MW machines were the most powerful on the market at the time of construction in 2010 and are still providing reliable service today. Recently, COSWIG GUSS supplied cast components for the drive train for two prototypes in the 6 MW class.

With our own research department, we at COSWIG GUSS are constantly working to push the boundaries of what is possible for our customers. We react flexibly and solution-oriented to new challenges in the wind industry.
Our engineers use load calculations to recommend the ideal material for your requirements. COSWIG GUSS tests new developments and initial castings before the start of production with extensive casting and solidification simulations. This reduces development costs and increases safety.

With 120 years of casting experience, state-of-the-art measuring technology, highly qualified skilled workers and a certified quality management system, we guarantee that our machine components reliably achieve their predicted performance in daily operation. Year after year after year.
